Balancing the signal-to-noise ratio.

Props to the Wife

I just want to say how proud I am of my wife for the hard work she is putting into a new paper on FAS 123(R) (expensing stock options). She has spent the last two days pouring through articles and books that, frankly, would bore me to tears (and I read computer manuals for fun!) to give her a thorough, working understanding of the issue’s implications for her profession. Despite jeers from her “co-interns”, who believe that papers should be written no sooner than two days prior to their due date, and who prefer to spend their time drinking and getting laid than studying, Brittany has set a much higher standard for herself and I have no doubt that her diligence will be rewarded both academically and occupationally.

Props to the wife, yo.

Would you expect anything less from those of royal blood?

Just for the record, I still read philosophy. So that makes me cool, right?

I have a divided self — it’s usually somewhere between the realm of practical and uhm.. not so practical. Or maybe just the latter. OK I’m going to stop now. Thanks for the props man. Hopefully my prof will think likewise.
