Ron Paul Defends Technology
CNet has posted a scoreboard for each Congressman and Senator in the United States with respect to their votes on technology. Ron Paul scored the highest rating of either house of Congress (80%). You can download Excel spreadsheets of the Senate and House of Representatives voting breakdown, which also shows which bills the candidates were scored against. The criteria for receiving points was based on an unconditional support of technology (for example, he voted against bills which would “promote” technology, but use federal money to do so, or that would regulate technological industry in the name of “helping” the consumer — think Net Neutrality). Paul is the clear winner by a long shot, and deserves our support because he truly understands that the market is the best place for technical ideas to flourish.
